THE CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, all formal church services have been suspended until further notice. Following the announcement by the Prime Minister on 23th March, churches are now closed, even for individual meditation and prayer, until further notice.

WORSHIP AT HOME
The Front page of this website gives guidance for prayer at home. Also, for Easter, Sidmouth Parish Church and All Saints Church are providing local resources. Access them by selecting EASTER 2020 from the main menu.

SUPPORT

There are a number of support options for those isolated at home. In Sidbury, Drews Butchers are running a delivery service, and the Red Lion pub is offering take-away meals Tuesday - Friday 18:00 - 21:00.

Sidmouth Town Council have published a leaftet listing food delivery and other services. Sid Valley Help have also published a leaflet of telephone delivery and take-away businesses. Both leaflets give information on voluntary services that can provide further help.

ST GILES CHURCH
The beautiful Grade I listed Church of St. Giles stands at the centre of the picturesque village of Sidbury where a church building has stood since Saxon times.  Under the chancel there exists to this day a 7th century Saxon crypt, this is open every Thursday afternoon, during the summer, when guided tours take place.

In the 1860's a second church, St Peter's was built in the parish at Sidford. Attached is a hall which is used by both congregations.
