ST GILES CHURCH
The beautiful Grade I listed Church of St. Giles stands at the centre of the picturesque village of Sidbury where a church building has stood since Saxon times.  Under the chancel there exists to this day a 7th century Saxon crypt, this is open every Thursday afternoon, during the summer, when guided tours take place.

In the 1860's a second church, St Peter's was built in the parish at Sidford. Attached is a hall which is used by both congregations.

WORSHIP DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Only St Peter's church will be open at limited times for individual prayer. Some services are also planned - for details, see SERVICES below.

Worship at home
The Front page of this website gives guidance for prayer at home. It includes links to printed materials, on-line services both local and national, and information about Radio & TV broadcasts. All Saints Church provides a number of Youtube services, and a telephone conference call service at 7pm on Sundays. Contact our Churchwardens Pam or Julia (phone numbers below) for more details of the 7pm Service.

A Lent Course using the Zoom video conferencing platform  is planned for Thursday afternoons at 4.00 p.m during Lent:

March 4th, 11th, 18th 25th
April 1st

If you would like a prayer said for someone who is sick or in need, or for something that concerns you, our Prayer Request page gives contact details.

SUPPORT

There are a number of support options for those isolated at home. In Sidbury, Drews Butchers are running a delivery service, and the Red Lion pub is offering take-away meals Tuesday - Friday 18:00 - 21:00.

Sidmouth Town Council have published a leaftet listing food delivery and other services. Sid Valley Help have also published a leaflet of telephone delivery and take-away businesses. Both leaflets give information on voluntary services that can provide further help.

CHURCH SERVICES
Covid-19 regulations mean that churchgoers must wear a face covering, and follow other guidelines such as social distancing.
