Sid Valley Mission Community

Role Summary

We are looking for a gifted, experienced and skilled administrator to come and join the Sid Valley Mission Community on a flexible, part-time basis to support our mission and ministry in and around Sidmouth.

The post-holder will work closely with the the Team Vicar for Sidmouth Parish Church (Rev Matt Selman) and the Team Vicar for Woolbrook and Sidbury with Sidford (Rev Laura Selman) who they will primarily support, as well as being part of the Administration team for the wider Mission Community.

Role Details

Title: Assistant Administrator

Employer: PCC of All Saints’ Sidmouth (on behalf of the Sid Valley Mission Community)

Hours: 21 hours per week, with at least 4 hours worked on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Some flexibility of hours may be required for the post-holder to attend occasional evening or weekend meetings.

Pay & Pension: £11.11 per hour plus 4.5% employer's contribution to Church of England Church Workers Pension (Employee contribution is 4% of gross pay)

Work Base: Our office adjoined to St Francis Church, Woolbrook with some flexibility with respect to working remotely.

Other requirements

As a faith-based organisation with places of Christian worship throughout the Sid Valley, our beliefs are foundational to everything we do. The post-holder will be expected to be sympathetic to these beliefs, encouraging of the spiritual life of the churches in the Sid Valley and willing to work actively to support our ministry and vision.

The post holder will be required to undergo the appropriate DBS checks and must complete satisfactorily the two Safeguarding training modules ‘Basic Awareness’ and ‘Foundation’.
