Concerts in Sidmouth Parish Church in 2012

We have a number of excellent concerts in our series for this year. Come and enjoy them in this beautiful and atmospheric venue, Sidmouth's historic Parish Church.

Saturday 12 May A concert given by the first-rate Devon Choir, ExeVox - their Sidmouth debut.  The concert is at 7.30pm and interval drinks will be available. Tickets £10 from Paragon Books in the High Street or on the door.

Friday 8 June at 12.00 A lunchtime recital ranging from Baroque to Romantic music given by Polina Shifrina, a gifted young Russian pianist who is recently established in Exeter after studying in Russia and playing in Berlin. It will be a treat! Tickets on the door at £7. Sandwiches and hot drink included.

Saturday 30 June at 8.00pm  A fizzing Summer's Evening concert of orchestral music by the ever-popular Isca Ensemble.  Interval drinks will be available. Tickets £10 from Paragon Books in the High Street or on the door.

Friday 10 August in the afternoon as part of Sidmouth folk Festival We shall welcome Tapestry a versatile group of singers with a variety of music from Tallis to Folk.

Thursday 23 August We welcome the return of the Cologne Ensemble. This is a vibrant group of young professional musicians based in Cologne but of various nationalities. Every Summer they do a grand tour of the British Isles and they always provide an exciting programme of music from Baroque to modern. Tickets from the Tourist Office and on the door. Interval drinks available.

Friday 14 September at 12.00 noon Well-known local professional singer, Val Howells, gives a lunchtime recital together with friends. Tickets £7 on the door. Sandwiches and hot drink provided afterwards

Friday 12 October at 12.00 noon. Brian Golding gives one of his much appreciated lunctime piano recitals.Tickets £7 on the door. Sandwiches and hot drink provided afterwards.

Saturday 17 November at 7.30pm the Isca Ensemble give their Autumn Concert. Interval drinks will be available. Tickets £10 from Paragon Books in the High Street or on the door.

Saturday 1 December at 7.30pm In collaboration with Sidmouth Music we present Eclipse - a group bringing us a heady combination of early music and Flamenco dance. Not to be missed!

Saturday 15 December at 7.30pm brings our local choral society, Sidmouth Choral, for a Christmas concert including carols for all.
