The churches of Sidbury with Sidford form part of the Sid Valley Team Ministry.  The beautiful Church of St. Giles stands at the centre of the picturesque village of Sidbury where a church building has stood since Saxon times.  Under the chancel there exists to this day a 6th century Saxon crypt which is open every Thursday afternoon during the summer, when guided tours take place.  Local literature is available about the church and village.

Built in the 1860 ' s as a chapel of ease, the Church of St. Peter is the largest building in the village of Sidford .
It is a typical Victorian brick building intended to be a church at the heart of the community.  The fellowship at St. Peter’s see this as being both their heritage and their vision.  The Hall, built during the 1970 ' s, is used by church and community for social and other purposes.

The worship reflects a wide range of spirituality and taste, and uses both Common Worship and the Prayer Book.  During the week there are various activities, clubs and committees — full details are available at both churches.
